In current economical conditions, a significant 12% rise in Pakistan’s defense budget for the fiscal year starting on July 1 has outpaced the 8.1% increase in the overall national budget announced last week of June 2011, still this increase in defense budget hugely undermines the actual military spending in the heavily indebted and terror-rid country. The real amount might possibly be nearly double the stated budgeted figures.

Pakistan People’s Party’s senior member of Gilgit and Baltistan Pir Karam Ali Shah has been appointed the new governor of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) after the death of first Gilgit-Baltistan Miss Shamah Khalid. Earlier Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani had given advice to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari to appoint Pir Karam Ali Shah governor for the Gilgit-Baltistan.

A joint Interrogation team (JIT) which is earlier formed by the Federal and Sindh government for the interrogation of the arrested killer of Karachi in past one year. The Team revealed the final 26 hardcore target killers names, which were involved in ethnic and sectarian killing in Karachi.
