Pakistan is now a day’s suffering from the world’s worst flood which cost Pakistan billions. In this tough time Pakistan cannot cop the situation by itself because it’s a very huge devastation and required lot of resources and aid from the international community. In this regard Pakistan has so far received aid promises of $466.11 million from the different countries, NGOs and the United Nation. Saudi Arabia the most holy soul for the Muslims in the world and a most close friend of the Pakistan promised to provide $124.29 million to Pakistan for the floods affected areas.
Saudi Arabia is on the top of the donor countries list with the pledge of $124.29 million donation for the floods affected peoples of Pakistan. Saudi government earlier committed to provide the $100 million to the Pakistan Government for the flood affected people and for this government f Saudi Arabia already sent the relief goods worth $60 million to the Pakistan and goods worth $40 million are in the pipeline and will be reached to Pakistan soon. Earlier The King Abdullah asked to the people for Saudi Arabia for the donation and they collect a total of $19 million in this regard from the general public which shows their interest and love for the people of Pakistan. Saudi government also handed over $5.29 million to the National Disaster Management Authority for the relief and rescue work.
Zafar Hasan Reza, Senior official of the Economic Affairs Division said to the reports “till today we have received aid pledges for $466.11 million for the flood-affected people from across the globe”.
