If you want to enable this new feature:

Go to Settings on your WhatsApp account. Click Privacy and enable Fingerprint Lock. But make sure that your WhatsApp is updated. If there is no option of Fingerprint Lock, then firstly update your WhatsApp and enable Fingerprint Lock.
